New Perlane Facial Injection fills Acne Scars

There’s anew Facial injection in town that has people suffering from old acne scars and wrinkles dancing for joy. The injection is called Perlane and is used to “fill out” the skin.

Perlane is a hyaluronic acid with lager gel particles helping it to raise deep craters and add volume to the skin. It can also be used for structuring the face for weak cheekbones or weak jawbones, and it can also help lift really deep nasal labial folds or smile lines. For anyone that suffers from sever acne scars, especially older ones that have caused the face to look defrmed and wrinkled, Perlane plumps the scar area and smoothen’s out the scar.

Perlane only needs a cream anesthetic which is smeared on the face and the most common side effect is a bit of bruising and swelling of the injection site. The results of the procedure last six to nine month and cost at $ 700 per syringe. Most patients need at least 2 syringes a procedure leaving a good dent in the bank account.

Perlane can only be administered by a licensed Physician and as with any type of medical procedure there are other side effects and cautions. Avoiding Tanning and too much sun exposure as well as avoiding cold weather exposure until injection site is healed and any swelling or bruising is gone. This injection is not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 and if you pregnant or nursing.

The two US studies (Study MA-1400-01 and Study MA-1400-02) did not include the safety of Perlane with concomitant dermal therapies such as epilation, UV irradiation, or laser, mechanical or chemical peeling. Also the safety and effectiveness beyond one year have not been investigated in clinical trials.

Before considering the Perlane injection do a internet search for and read the information on the studies conducted. You can obtain a full list of the side effects and how many in the test groups had the effects. Then discuss it over with your doctor to see if this would or would not be right for you. In my opinion I’d avoid these procedures on a regular basis since they art only temporary. It may be a good procedure to consider if your getting married or any other big event where you want to look your best but remember if that is the case to get the procedure quite ahead of time in case of any side effects.
