I started having really bad acne when I was 15. It was mainly concentrated in my chin in big, red welts. Nothing I did as far as creams and whatnot really helped. The doctor did put me on some pills that seemed to clear it slightly, but that was only temporary before it stopped working. Not even ProActiv worked for me!! (but maybe I just wasn't vigilant enough about using it right)

Finally 8 years later, at the age of 23, my constant pimpled complexion has cleared. This has been a recent development (within the past few months), and I am thrilled! My skin hasn't been this clear for a day in all those 8 years. And this just happened on its own (I gave up on extra treatments, only washed my face), so I think I just finally "grew out of" having acne, like my hormones calmed down or something. lol
