Acne Treatment

What do you guys think about peroxide? I use it on everything from my teeth to my face!

My dad swears by peroxide, too! I agree, it does a lot of things that other stuff can do. I mostly use it for my ears, when I have a build-up of wax. For my bumps, I use rubbing alcohol. x3 Kind of weird, but if I don't have any face cleaner, it helps. The only thing is, if you use it too much, it'll dry your face out.

i too live by this good clear liquid but it can remove the natural bacteria that is good for you too so you must be careful that you dont over use by that i mean not three times a day. and that means hopefuly not everyday either.

It might be good in a pinch, but I think salicylic acid does a much better job on acne, at least for me. It's true that products that include this product might have a harmful drying effect as well and may even cause a lot of burning. I suppose if this occurs, you might need a facial moisturizer to counter the drying effects. It is good for cleaning, but use it to clean up things I use that may have germs on them more than on my face.

Occassionally, I popped a few of my pimples when I was a teenager. (Lucky I didn't scar) Whenever I'd pop one, I'd use peroxide to cleanse it - once in the morning & then once at night for no more than a couple of days due to my dry skin.

(I've also used peroxide on my teeth. It's a great whitener! My aunt used it to make her hair, naturally, blonde. *wink*
