Most people are aware that starting a new prescription medication means going through that TERRIBLE "it gets worse before it gets better" stage.

Which medications have had the worst initial breakout for you?

Does an antibiotic like minocycline help with the breakout?

The absolute worst for me was differin. I used it for a week and got a pimple that was just massive. it got infected and stuff like that. It was absolutely awful.

i've tried several different products including proactiv. with all of them having only minimal affect. overall its something that you just ride through.

Wow, I actually didn't know about the "initial breakout"! I experienced this with AcneFree and I was wondering why the medication wasn't working at all! I think this happened with OTC medications too. I guess I have a lot to learn about my acne haha
