I don't think there is anyone who has never had acne. Acne is part and parcel of every growing teen. Have you come across any teen who has never had acne? i would be delighted to meet such a teen. I think such a person will be able to highlight what they have been doing and what they have been eating and how they have been caring for their skin to ensure that they never had acne.

I don't think there is anyone who's never had a pimple or blemish, but I do think it's possible for some to bypass the acne agony if it's in their genes to do so. There's nothing you can do to control it; you're either going to get slammed with it, or you're not.

Wikipedia says acne affects 85+% of teenagers, often continuing into adulthood. It does not provide specifics on the varying timeframe in which people can suffer (except that is can last indefinitely in some cases, yikes!). Which is perhaps why "everyone" I tended to come in contact was clear; they must have already had their short-lived cycle of acne (or hadn't yet begun it).

I just asked my husband what his time frame for acne was. He said 13-19, so 2 years less than me. He says he still nearly always has a pimple and now gets a few on his back as well.

I am in my 40's and have had acne since I was a young teen... I tried everything. Even in my 40's, I still suffer from breakouts, although not as severe. I finally found Proactive and love it. I do highly recommend it to anyone.

I had a mild case of acne that started when I was 13, and it lasted for about a year or two, and I haven't had problems since. My family doctor prescribed me a very powerful gel treatment that literally burnt my acne overnight. I don't remember the exact name of the product, as this was almost 15 years ago

I would love to know what that product would have been... Who knows it may have been taken off the market by now though. I wonder if it was ever prescribed to me??

My husband is the luckiest man in the world. Despite his brother getting hit hard with acne, my husband has almost never had a pimple. Simply amazing skin.

Actually, I do know someone who to my knowledge and her own has never had a pimple. She doesnt do anything special or eat a weird diet. She is actually the kind of person I would expect to have horrible acne and be obese. She eats like a horse and eats whatever she wants (junk food galore). She has beautiful skin, hair, figure. One of those people we love to hate, but she's still my best friend. I guess it's in the genes.

I don't recall anyone who I knew never had an acme. My sisters had them, my friends, my husband, everyone at some phase of life.
