How does one avoid acne from hormonal changes. I only suffer really bad breakouts every time I have a certain thing called time of the month by some women. However, the acne stays and I find the only way to kill it is use multiple kinds of acne medication containing salicylic acid. It gets under control eventually only to have it happen over again. I mean I have had worse acne at some times when I was sick, but it mostly occurs at this time and regularly. Does anyone know what to do?

Controlling acne due to Hormonal changes is very difficult. I have this problem myself through mine is related to stress. Whenever I have to leave my family and go on a trip, I start getting acne this is particularly embarrassing during meetings. The only thing which I have found is to start treating your acne even before it appears. Continue whatever you are doing. This will make sure that the breakout is not that severe.
