Acne Treatment

I just chanced by this site and thought of joining. it is still early days here and i seem to be amongst the pioneers. Soon enough i am sure this place will be flooded with people sharing their experiences in teh fight acne. In my teen years i was plagued by acne and had a really tough time. i used to get fed up of it and there was a time when i had started thinking that it will never leave me alone. i started feeling low and started despising myself. My confidence eel had gone rather low. Soon things started changing and I got rid of teh acne. Of course i do have the scars left behind, but its not too bad now. i used to be too impatient to get rid fo tehm so i used to burst themand that was the root cause of the scars. never burst a pimple. Don't be in a hurry to get rid of it. Let is live its full course. keep the skin clean apply medication then just leaveit alone. The more you tamper with it the more it will show in the later years.

I agree, it definitely does a number on your self-esteem, and you can never fully accept it. It's horrible looking at past photos of myself where I'll be beside my gorgeous, clear-skinned, same-age husband, and there is his pizza-chin wife. I always knew I would have such a pretty face, if only I could rid myself of all the ugly acne.

I can certainly sympathize with both of your situations. I had beautiful skin until I hit puberty and then it was I got acne. At 26, I still do and it is extemely frustrating. People look at me like I am 15 because of it and it drives me crazy. It is also very hard on your self esteem as when you look in the mirror, it seems that it is all you see. For me it became worse when I was on birth control because it all cleared up (as well as my severe mood swings lol) but then I got a blood clot and can no longer be on the pill. Seeing pictures of my skin beautiful and then with acne can be very difficult for me. I always ask relatives, WHY? do you have that picture up there for everyone to see? I hate pictures of myself lol. No topical treatements have ever worked for me, but I still have hope.
