I have had acne since I was a young teen. I have tried to many products, mostly over the counter. Nothing worked. I wasn't sure if it was stress, hormones, or my diet. I have finally found Proactive. It started working the day I put it on. I am so happy to finally be free of my acne.

I am glad proactive worked for you, unfortunately it didn't work for me. Finding others who are able to overcome it though inspires others to have hope. Congratulations on your new beautiful skin.

I think acme is because of hormonal changes in body. You mostly get a lot in your teenages. Its true for me too.

PROACTIVE SUCKS! It never worked for me. The 3 step kit is garbage. It never helped at all. The only thing that even relatively works was the sulfur spot treatment mask. That thing was a godsend but they only give you a tiny bit with your first order. You have to buy it specially and separate after that while still receiving the garbage kit.

what got me about proactiv was the price and I didn't really know what was in the 3 step system. I do have friends who swear by it though.

Acne if untreated can cause, greasy skin, blackheads, whiteheads, red spots, and at times deep lesions which could get inflamed at times. In the long run scars too may be left behind as a tell tale sign of the past history specially if you are impatient and pick and squeeze the spots. I ws rather impatient and could never wait to let it heal so i kept picking at it constantly. The scars remain. On hind sight I can now say that it was a wrong thing to do, but at that age you really feel conscious of it and somehow want to get rid of it at the earliest. I never really tried any medicines. All I did was keep washing regularly.

Proactiv, AcneFree, they're all the same to me! I just stick with a deep cleaning facial wash and facial pads for when i get oily.

I've never tried ProActive but my neighbor swears by it for spot treatment. But she's 39. My niece uses ProActive and loves it but it hasn't seemed to work very well for her. My son uses AcneFree and it seems to work well, almost overnight.
