Default Drinking Water to Cure Acne

Drinking water will not necessarily cure the acne itself but it will make your skin more healthy. Water hydrates the skin and the internal body also. If your skin tends to be dry, drinking water will help with this. On the other hand, if your skin is oily water won't exascerbate the issue. Water flushes your internal system but washing away dirt on the surface is the best way to treat acne.

Yeah I don't know if drinking water will "cure" your acne per se, that seems kind of like holistic New Age junk to me, but water is the absolute best liquid you can put in your body, so it sure won't hurt you. I don't think there are any liquid treatments that you drink that can help acne, but caffeine and alcohol can dehydrate you, which is no good.

Default I believe water does help

I do know that drinking lots of water does help. I have always had acne on my face. Not bad just 3-5 on my face every month. No matter what I did I couldn't get them to go away so I just accepted it as apart of my life. I joined the army and went to basic which was extremely stressful. As we know, stress causes acne but I did not break out at all. I never had a zit for 2 months. I believe the reason was that I was not allowed to eat any sweets (soda, cake, cookies, ect). We were forced to drink 2 glasses of water before every meal and we also had to drink canteen after canteen of water when we were outside. I always felt like I was going to barf because of all the water. The stress made me not miss the sweets and low and behold I had no acne. That was the best my skin has ever looked. Once basic was over and I stopped drinking all the water and I went back to soda and candy. Well........I have the same problem 3-5 zits on my face every month. The derms say it's not bad enough for acutance and now that I’m 30 I have scars. I always tell myself that I will force myself to drink all that water again but I never do. Good luck on your quest for clearer skin.
