My Acne History
Age 15 - Bad pimples on the chin come and stay. Try the usual creams to no avail. I can also remember trying Biore Overnight Blemish Bombs before a date, and those worked slightly. Used a lot of Neutrogena foundation to try to even my complexion. In hindsight, I looked oily and gross with it. Age 17 - Started Yasmin, a birth control pill that supposed to help with acne. It doesn't really. Age 18 - Acne is at its worst because my diet is horrible. Was prescribed an antibiotic pill for acne, but that only aided for a little while. Stopped using foundation because it looks silly. Age 21 - Acne is lesser than in my teenage years, but still ever present. Age 22 - Random adults give me crap about my pimples. Age 23 - Finally, my skin is clear! Have been using Noxema Triple Blemish Cleansing pads exclusively for awhile now. |

I dont think I have ever come across Noxema Triple Blemish Cleansing pads but maybe I will give them a try. I know about adults giving you crap, I get the same thing. It also doesn't help when they say, I dont know how you deal with it, I couldn't. That just makes me feel worse about because it makes it seem like they think its disgusting and thats how they feel about me. I have found that if you use a very light (not color, but compared to a heavy thick foundation) fondation and mix it with a little cold cream, it looks very natural and helps to cover up any dry spots. The other key is to use a light powder compact over it so it doesn't look shiny or oily.

Try using Ayurvedic medicine called Safi. Its available in Indian stores. It purifies blood and then you don't get pimples or acmes.

Birth control has never done anything for my acne! In fact, when I breakout the worst is during PMS. Nothing seems to stop it.
As for Yasmin, I remember that was the first BC my dermatologist ever put me on. I was about 15 and he just wrote out the prescription without even sending me to a physician! It had horrible side effects.. and not surprisingly was taken off the market and replaced with Yaz! |
