- If you're not already removing your makeup and washing your face before bed, that could be a big source of your acne problems right there.
- Try switching your showering schedule at night, to keep your face even cleaner. - Overwashing your face can cause irritation. - Wipe off your cell phone once a week with a disinfecting wipe. A grimy phone can cause pimples. - Wash your hands after touching especially dirty things, like if you handle money all day. Because you're bound to touch your face sometime. |

I agree with your tips of things to do. I have found the most important thing for me is to use mild soaps and cleaners as otherwise it aggrevates my skin more. Also, I learned the importance of not scrubbing my face as it can be very irritating and cause more breakouts.
I recently purchased a facial cleanser that works in the shower with the steam to help clear out your pores and it does make my skin look wonderful (doesn't clear the acne though). My skin glows and has a very healthy tone and although the acne is still there, it helps to see the rest of the skin looking so nice. I also use a product by Olay that is simply a very mild cleanser in a cloth that you use to remove makeup and cleanse your face. I would also recommend that people remember to wash their pillow cases frequently. Oil and dead skin can build up on it and cause you more breakouts and keep your pillows clean. And remember to use mild lotions that wont clog pores or leave your skin oily. |

I think about the cell phone thing all the time! Gross! Have you seen that thing? Also, I never thought about pillow cases, etc. When I remove my mascara, I use vaseline. How bad can that be, huh?? YUCK! I appreciate the above advice and will get to work right away on using it.

I find that if I forget to take off my makeup, it makes my zits worse.
Another bad habit I have is picking and touching my face. I think that's a lot of my problem. |

The cell phone tip is good, a lot of people forget about that. Other common actions that can trigger acne are resting your face on your hand, or not changing your pillowcase enough!

My girlfriend used to have an acne problem too and lately she has been removing her makeup at night with Wet Ones baby wipes before she washes her face and she has seen a pretty significant improvement in her skin.

Oily hair and dandruff may also lead to acne problems. So shampoo your hair twice a week.

Some are suggesting to change your bedding material regularly.. This is one important suggestion as most of us ignore this
