Well, yes, that is simple to say, but sometimes there is just more to it. Sometimes what we eat, stress, lack of sleep, etc.. etc.. are also causes to look at. The best products I have found are Proactive. I had acne since I was a young teen. I am now in my 40's and still use this product!

Actually it really depends on your kind of acne. The biggest problem is that there are many kinds of acne and many different causes. If you have dry skin, washing more than once daily can irriate your face and cause even more acne. Keeping your face clean is certainly a priority, but in order to really give that kind of advice you have to know which kind of acne you have. My face for example is never oily, and washing too frequently can really irritate it and dry it out more. The more oily your skin is, typically the more you should wash it with mild cleansers.

It's not always good to wash your face a lot. It can dry out the skin, which leads to increased oil production. Also, overuse of those scrubbing exfoliators can irritate existing acne and make the infection worse!

yes, there are lots of ways to avoid acne. As u say regular and constant washing of face will help to keep the skin clean and dirt free which helps to prevent acne. Nowadays there are many medication and prescription which are offered by therapist, some of them are Oral Antibiotics, Isotretinoin etc.

When on a system, like Proactive, it tells you how many times to wash your face. You can wash it 4 times a day, dry out your skin and have a whole other problem. I use Clinique and it says to wash your face in the morning and at night with their treatment. I have not had a problem and the acne is gone. Once in a while I will have a pimple but if you follow what the product says it may work better.

I think that washing your face does help a LOT. If you don't, your pores obviously get clogged, which causes acne. I'm not saying that this is the only cause of acne, but it is one step you can take in preventing it.
As it was said before, there are other factors that play in; mood, diet, heredity, etc... |
