Default Deos washing face regularly reduces acne?

A friend of mine gave this tip to reduce acne. Wash your face twice a day with warm water and a mild soap made for people with acne. Gently massage your face with circular motions. Dont scrub. Over-washing and scrubbing can cause skin to become irritated. After cleansing, use a prescribed medication for pimples which will keep the acne under control.
Anyone has any thoughts about this?

Washing your face twice daily is perfectly fine. Indeed you do not want to scrub too hard, for it will irritate the skin. But throughout the day, oils naturally come out clogging pores therefore it is a good idea to wash throughly twice a day!

Yes. Definitely it helps a lot to wash your face so that it will be clean always and the acne will be far from inflamed.

I'm not sure if washing your face often prevents acne. It could dry your face out. I know that if you work around grease or fast food. That it will cause your face to break out. Mine did.

Washing your face reguarly should be a part of your daily regiment ONLY if your face does not dry out easily.

That's exactly what I'd recommend. So many people will go & buy expensive acne meds without trying this first. Whenever you have a breakout, just think about your lifestyle--what are you eating? Are you under stress? Could there be an outbreak because of makeup/lotion/etc.? That's the first step to treating any bumps.
