Peipert now is involved in a lawsuit held in Madison County against Hoffman-La Roche Inc The first trial regarding Accutane, which ended last month, resulted in the jury ordering Hoffman-La Roche to pay $2.6 million in damages, which of course the corporation is appealing. Now the Peipert lawsuit in Madison County, which Circuit Judge David Hylla, is set for October and will more than like be watched by all of North America since the verdict will set the trend for future lawsuits against Hoffman-La Roche.

All eyes now will be on the outcome of weather or not Hylla will allow Peipert’s attorneys to pursue punitive damages; a potentially large additional award if a jury finds wanton misconduct, gross negligence and fraud in Hoffman-La Roche’s actions./p>
